I chose an apprenticeship because I wanted a hands-on way to learn. I’ve never been one for written exams. Coming from a financially disadvantaged background, I was relieved to find that ATS Childcare had no costs involved, which made it the perfect choice for me.

The application process was smooth, and the support I’ve received throughout has been incredible. My assessor, Arlene, was fantastic. She visited me every month and was always happy to help with my coursework whenever I needed guidance.

Working in a nursery has been such a rewarding experience. I’ve learned so much, from managing group activities to creating engaging play opportunities for children of all ages. I am now working as a fully qualified practitioner, and I hope to soon become a room lead.

I got in touch with ATS Childcare just after finishing school because I really wanted to get into childcare, but college just wasn’t my thing. It didn’t appeal to me at all. I had a virtual interview with Mariah, and she was so friendly and welcoming that it put me at ease straight away.

Not long after, they told me I’d been successful and found me an apprenticeship in a nursery just a 10-minute walk from my house, which was ideal. The whole process was so smooth. My assessor was Emma, and I cannot find a single bad thing to say about her. She helped me with everything along the way, and we still keep in touch even now.

I qualified last year and am now working in a local primary school. The skills I picked up during my apprenticeship have been really easy to transfer, and I’m absolutely loving it.

I recommend ATS Childcare to anyone looking to get started and qualified in childcare without going to college. I worked for just over 12 months, earned a proper and fair wage, got my holidays and work benefits, and came out as a qualified Level 3 practitioner, the same level as if I’d gone to college.

I saved all the college fees. It’s honestly a no-brainer. A big shoutout to my assessor, Arlene, who was so helpful and always just a call away whenever I needed anything. She guided me through my coursework whenever I got stuck and made the whole process so much easier. Now, only three years into my career, I’m a senior practitioner. Doing an apprenticeship was the best decision I’ve ever made.

I’ve always known childcare was my thing. It’s been my plan since I was a kid. So, when I finished school, I started looking around for apprenticeship providers. Some were charging fees, some had study costs, and honestly, it all felt a bit ridiculous. Then I came across ATS Childcare. Back then, the company was pretty new, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But when I checked out their team, their experience was amazing. I actually WhatsApped them! So much more convenient than emailing. They replied in 15 minutes, and I had a virtual interview with Mariah the next day.

By the end of the week, I was already starting my apprenticeship at a local nursery. Now I’ve qualified, and I’m working as a practitioner in the same nursery I trained in. Honestly, it’s been such a smooth process, and I couldn’t be happier with how it all worked out.

I felt in the best hands with Marion as she made it very clear to me that she would be available anytime if I needed her support. This support was an amazing safety net throughout my experience and always made me feel at ease knowing she was there if I needed any help with anything. Anytime I did, Marion was there. I can’t put into words how much this meant to me.

Marion was professional, caring, understanding, friendly… I could go on. I have had a lot of teachers and assessors in my time, and none came close to Marion!

Marion and I had meetings where we would plan out deadlines and work to a speed and rhythm that suited me best. She would always go out her way to give me a deadline, but structured those deadlines to line up with when I wanted to finish and always saved time in case there were any amendments that needed to be made this showed me how much she cared about me as an individual as she did not have to do this but knew I preferred working that way, as she took the time to get to know me very quickly which showed that she cared about my progress and made me feel more confident to achieve my goals. I feel this level of care is astonishing!

I have been very vocal to Marion and others already on what an amazing experience it is to work with ATS Childcare and have such a caring assessor. I wish I could do all the qualifications I want to achieve with them.

I found the course to be extremely informative and learned lots of new things about my role as a practitioner and how to create a safe and nurturing environment to all children.

The induction I received from Marion at ATS Childcare was extremely helpful and allowed me to understand a clear plan of what work I was going to complete by which time I desired. The course materials helped me understand the topic I was researching to complete my work to the best standard.

I found all the methods of assessment very useful especially the assignments as I was able to research certain topics I wasn’t familiar with. I also found the reflective accounts to be helpful as I understood the work I was doing daily was extremely important to the children as it kept them safe and healthy.

I understood everything I had to do when Marion explained it and if I needed extra help, she was there to offer her assistance.

Marion always kept a great level of contact with me, whilst offering me extra support if I needed it.
